“Lest We Forget’ – is the least we can do for the former shipmates of HMAS Tingira, HMAS Cerberus and HMAS Leeuwin, we will remember them” said Tingira Australia Association President, Lance Ker, at the recent dawn service he attended at Coral Bay, Queensland.

The Tingira Australia Association will ‘Call the Hands’ to muster at Tingira Memorial, Rose Bay, at 10.30am next Saturday 11th November.

As the nation stops to the 11am church bell chimes across this nation, the Sydney Tingira Boys will lay their wreath in remembrance for all ‘Tingira Boys’ that have represented Australia in our Defence Force duties over our 115 year Tingira naval history.

Today the Tingira Australia Association has many of the original HMAS Leewuin Tingira Boys still serving in the RAN. The Tingira Memorial at Rose Bay, Sydney, and the Junior Recruit Memorial at Leewuin Barracks, East Fremantle are our monuments dedicated to all the Tingira Boys, past and present.

Tingira Members and guests are requested to be present at the Tingira Memorial, Rose Bay by 10.30. The service will be conducted by the Rose Bay RSL sub-Branch.
